Expect Excellence!

10 Years of Service Excellence!
Nearly 18,000 SuperHosts in Nova Scotia!!

What is SuperHost Atlantic?

SuperHost was developed and introduced by Tourism British Columbia to support the 1986 World Exposition in Vancouver.  The purpose of SuperHost was to increase the quality of service in Tourism businesses throughout the province in preparation for the important event.

The program, originally intended to be a two-year exercise, was in such demand that SuperHost continues to be a key component of Tourism British Columbia.

Based on this success, SuperHost is now implemented in other provinces, several of the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.  The Nova Scotia Tourism Human Resource Council secured delivery rights to SuperHost for Atlantic Canada in 1995. We call it SuperHost Atlantic ~ Expect Excellence!

SuperHost Atlantic is relevant for everyone in Nova Scotia’s service industry.  Built into the framework of SuperHost Atlantic – Expect Excellence! is the premise that good service delivered by knowledgeable staff will encourage repeat business.  The program has become an integral part of many tourism and service business training plans during the last 10 years.  Nearly 18, 000 Nova Scotians have made a commitment to creating quality customer experiences since the program’s introduction here a decade ago.

The Program objectives for SuperHost Atlantic – Expect Excellence! are:

Elevate service and hospitality standards
Inspire and instill professionalism and pride among all service staff
Ensure that for each service experience, “the promise is delivered”

The benefits for a business investing in their staff through SuperHost Atlantic – Expect Excellence! include:

  • Repeat Business – Maximize Profits
  • Economical/High impact
  • Enhanced communication skills and confidence
